Windows 10 Mobile Build 14393.2007 is also available for download with security improvements and fixes. With the latest cumulative release for Anniversary Update, Microsoft has addressed the security vulnerabilities in chips manufactured by Intel, AMD, and ARM.

Microsoft recommends all users to install the latest security updates as it is necessary to fix the found vulnerabilities. Microsoft has also released Meltdown and Spectre patch for Windows 10, 8.1 and 7.

Windows 10 Mobile Build 14393.2007 comes with no other improvements, you can, however, expect general bug fixes with the upcoming cumulative update on Patch Tuesday next week. With today’s update, Microsoft is making the following changes to Windows 10 Mobile:

  • Security updates to Windows Graphics, Windows Kernel and Microsoft Edge.

The vulnerability in the chipsets would allow attackers to bypass the kernel, and access the content. For example, this vulnerability basically allows apps to read protected content without users permission.

It’s nice to see that Microsoft responded fast to the found vulnerabilities with the latest cumulative updates, available to all supported versions of Windows operating system. Though we don’t know whether or not the Windows Phones with Insider builds have been patched since Windows 10 Mobile Insider program is pretty much dead now.
