WhatsApp had introduced the Status feature for users across all platforms at the beginning of this year. The ‘status’ is a feature similar to the Snapchat’s feature where you can share a picture or text that automatically gets removed after 24 hours. Facebook had also added the similar ‘Stories’ feature to Instagram before that.

We had earlier reported that WhatsApp was working on bringing its “status” feature to both its Web and Desktop application. Today this feature is available to virtually all platforms users. WhatsApp “Status” feature is a sure HIT among users as it was already used by 175 Million daily users within 10 weeks of launch.

You can now see your friends Whatsapp status on Whatsapp web by clicking the status icon on the top bar on the left side of home page. You can also use your webcam to take a picture and upload them. You can see the similar icon on the Whatsapp desktop app to view statuses.

You can download the current version of WhatsApp desktop from this link. And to visit WhatsApp web simply go to web.whatsapp.com and scan the QR code from your Whatsapp phone app.
