Microsoft had last month introduced the new generation Skype application with Snapchat like features on iOS and Android. Microsoft had also announced on their Skype Blog the upcoming features that they were working on. Microsoft has today updated their Android app on the play store with one of the most requested features.

This new update brings a dark theme for users which can reduce strain for using skype in a dark room. Along side this feature, they have also brought back the Activity indicator which was available earlier and was removed a couple of updates ago. Now you can also reorder your chats by sorting out them on the basis of time, unread or active. There are some bug fixes and performance improvements as well.

This update comes after Skype was down for some users today. Microsoft has confirmed that the issue has been fixed. Skype is now back after being affected for around 3-4 hours around the world. This new update is currently available for only Android users. Microsoft would soon be making it available for iOS users. You can download it here.
