Windows 10 Fall Creators Update
New windows 10 fall creators update 2017

Microsoft yesterday released a new Windows 10 Build 16232.1004 Cumulative Update for Fast Ring Insiders. The new build released doesn’t come with any new features but has been released to test Microsoft’s servicing pipeline as per the statement by Windows Insider Chief Dona Sarkar.

The update will now require any reboot of your PC if you are working on any other programs or applications except Notepad.exe. The Cumulative Update only revises the version of the OS and it also includes a binary version of Notepad.exe. Hence you will get a reboot of the PC if you are using Notepad.exe while installing the Cumulative update.

However Microsoft has confirmed that there are will be some known issues detected after the installation of the build. Users need to make sure to have setup Mixed Reality before taking the update. After installing a language pack your PC may be offered to update again but the update fails.

Users with build 16232 will be seeing the current Cumulative Update build available for download and the latest version 16232.1004 will remain until the Redmond Giant releases a new Insider Preview Build for Fast Ring Insiders.

So if you are on Fast Ring and would like to download the latest Cumulative Update then you would need to go to Settings>Windows Update and Security>check for updates. Do let us know in the comments if you have been able to successfully install the latest Cumulative Update.
