Microsoft is working on a new desktop experience for Windows 10 devices which is codenamed “Andromeda”.  The company is working on the new experience internally which would be introduced to the Windows 10 Mobile aiming to bring a new desktop experience for Mobile.

Currently there are not much details about “Andromeda”,  but what we know is with the launch of “Andromeda”,  Microsoft is planning to bring a new desktop experience to its Windows 10 Platform. The company wants to bring things like multi windows support to Continuum, a full featured task bar, toast notifications, updated Action Center and more with the Andromeda Desktop for Windows 10.

We already know that Google is working on a very similar project which is also Codenamed “Andromeda” for Android, and the Windows 10’s Andromeda is also something similar to Android’s.

There is little or no information as to when Microsoft is planning to release the Andromeda experience to Windows 10 or whether the project will actually see the light of the day. We will have to wait and see as Microsoft during its Ignite Conference 2016 has been talking about the upcoming improvements for Continuum on phones. We might have to however wait for an official announcement by the Redmond Giant.
