Tay AI

Microsoft, Research, and Bing have brought a new, solid bot called Tay. The new AI bot, which talks like a real human, works at the speed of light. You can meet Tay on her Twitter account, which is already a verified account. You can also find her on Kik, GroupMe, and soon on Facebook.

Most of you must be wondering, how is Tay so smart? Actually, the bot has been trained by mining relevant public data and by using AI and editorial content developed by a team including improvisational comedians.

Tay is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Microsoft’s Technology and Research and Bing teams to experiment with and conduct research on conversational understanding.

Tay likes to chat with 18- to 24-year-olds in the USA. However, she also talks with people from other countries and all age groups. To improve Tay’s performance, Microsoft may collect the following data if you allow them:

  • Nickname
  • Gender
  • Favorite food
  • Zip code
  • Relationship status

Here is how Tay talks:
