Surface Duo and Neo

Microsoft has officially updated its documentation to confirm that it’s delaying its dual-screen Surface Neo until the right moment arrives. The announcement was quietly made in an update to Surface Neo product page.

Everything is exactly the same on Surface Neo product page but it looks like Microsoft has finally removed the ‘Coming Holiday 2020’ phrase, which confirms that Surface Neo with Windows 10X won’t arrive anytime soon.

Earlier this year, Panos Panay confirmed that Microsoft is delaying its dual-screen Windows experiences until “the right moment” arrives and Microsoft will refocus on its priorities on single-screen devices.

While Lenovo is planning to unveil its ThinkPad X1 Fold with regular Windows 10, it looks like Microsoft has decided to delay Surface Neo until its Windows 10X and dual-screen experiences mature.

Surface Neo

Like Surface Duo, the Surface Neo features two screens that fold on a geared 360-degree hinge. It also supports a magnetic wireless keyboard that attaches to the back of the screen, so you can rotate Surface Neo and use it with its keyboard as a traditional clamshell device.
