Microsoft Launcher is quite popular among Android users as it includes tools that the users may need every day. Recently, a beta version of Microsoft Launcher was released with several new features including Sticky Notes integration. The same build has been released to everyone (non-beta testers).
Microsoft Launcher version 5.1.0.47682 comes with Microsoft To-Do and Stick Notes integration. The to-dos and notes are shared across all devices including phone, web and the PC.
Digital health feature
Microsoft Launcher now comes with a digital health screen, a feature similar to Google’s Digital Wellbeing app and Apple’s iPhone Screen Time.
The updated Microsoft Launcher display the screen time and usage time for apps currently being used on your device.
A glimpse of the stats are shown in the digital health card in the Microsoft Launcher feed and you can tap on it to view the stats in a separate page for additional information.
This would help you find out the apps that you use the most. Additional information such as stats for last 24 hours or the 7 days and how many times you unlocked the device is also detailed in the digital health screen page.
Sticky Notes and Microsoft To-Do
Microsoft’s latest update to the Launcher app also introduces support for Sticky Notes and To-Do. The Sticky Notes integration is quite useful as it is deeply integrated into other Microsoft services such as OneNote and Windows 10.
Microsoft will sync your Sticky Notes content across your phone and PC if you are logged in with the same Microsoft account.
Microsoft To-Do which is a popular task manager that allows you to manage to-dos is now also integrated into the Launcher. All entries that you created with Microsoft To-Do from Outlook and Skype are displayed in the To-Do card on Android devices.
Last but not the least, Cortana integration has been updated and it can finally display traffic details, commitments and Hey Cortana command is also back. You can simply shout ‘Hey Cortana’ to control the digital assistant but the feature is currently available in en-us market only.
