Opera 55

Last month, the software maker Opera released the beta version of its web browser for Windows and other platforms. Late last week, Opera Software promoted the Opera 55 Chromium-based web browser to the stable channel for Windows and other supported platforms.

Opera 55 is yet another big release of the Chromium-based web browser and it adds another layer of new features. These features include the ability to install the Google Chrome extensions from the Chrome Web Store. If you’ll visit the extension web store, the Install Extension button will be displayed.

You can easily install extensions in Opera browser from the Google Chrome Store. The ability to install Chrome extensions from the Chrome Web Store is supposed to improve the user experience and bring it on par with the rivals. To install Chrome extension in Opera 55, you would need to open the Chrome Web Store and load extension through a new sliding toolbar that would appear on the page.

  • Better control of the pages you visit with an expanded badge pop-up menu.
  • Easier access to your bookmarks.
  • Bug fixes and improvements.
