Windows 10 has been slowly gaining in market share and has started to become the preferred operating system for many users. According to the latest data provided by Valve, Windows 10 has seen a steady growth month on month and is slowly becoming the preferred choice for gamers.

Windows 10’s 64 bit version has been able to increase its market share and is currently holding 57.03% which is a jump of 1.50% from the previous month. This would mean that Windows 10 has been successful in beating Microsoft’s earlier version Windows 7 which stands at second place with 32.38%.

Inspite of Windows 10 beating Windows 7 in terms of percentage of gamers, Windows 7 continues to hold the first place in global market share leaving Windows 10 to way behind.

Microsoft’s Windows is currently running on 96.5% of all Steam computers compared to Apple’s macOS which is the runner up and remains at second place by holding 2.93% of the global market share.

With the April 2018 update available on all the PCs we expect Windows 10 to continue to grow and reach the number one position in terms of the preferred operating system for gamers. If this continue then Windows 10 is surely expected to beat Microsoft’s older version of the operating system Windows 7.
