Timeline in Windows 10

As we all know Microsoft to roll out the next feature update for Windows 10 on April 30. Windows 10 April 2018 Update previously referred to as the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update will be available starting from tomorrow (April 30).

Meanwhile, Microsoft posted series of video tutorials on their YouTube channel. These videos show off just some of the new features coming with the Windows 10 April 2018 update.

Timeline:

Whole new Timeline feature allows users to manage their past activities including web browsing sessions, apps & software and also various activities from Microsoft apps on Android and iOS devices. So you can pick up things where you left them. Timeline feature advanced version of the Task View.

Focus Assist:

Focus Assist is a revamped version of the Quite Hours which also includes several new features. Focus Assist will mute all your notifications and let you focus on the important tasks you are working on. You can also prioritize the app and still receive notification from certain apps. Microsoft also added an ability to enable Focus Assist automatically for various cases.

Dictation:

Yet another exciting new feature in Windows 10 April 2018 update. Dictation is basically a speech to text. Dictation will work for any text field in Windows 10. The improved Dictation feature in Windows 10 will capture your thoughts quickly and more accurately. You can initiate it by pressing Win + H.

Microsoft Edge:

Microsoft edge is receiving significant UI tweaks with Windows 10 April 2018 update. Dark theme, icons, the color contrast has been updated along with the ability to mute tabs, new auto-fill payment APIs, integration with Timeline and more. Microsoft also added the reveal effect of Fluent Design system on navigation buttons and the tab bar. Microsoft Edge also getting some security improvements and under-hood changes which will boost the overall performance of it.

Windows Insiders have been testing this latest version of operating system for past several weeks. And now Microsoft is ready to roll out this update publically.
