Microsoft today released a new Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17123 for Fast Ring Insiders. As is the case with all the Insider Preview Builds, the latest build comes with its share of fixes and improvements for Windows Insiders enrolled in the Fast Ring.

With the latest Redstone 4 build Microsoft has made sure to fix issues which it was working during the release of the previous insider preview build. In the latest build, the company fixed issue with the Dolby Access app. The Dolby Access app failed to work on the PCs after the installation of the last preview build.

The company also fixed a crashing issue faced by the Windows Audio service due to the stack overflow exception and not throwing any sound on the PCs. This issue has now been fixed by Microsoft and the Windows Audio service works properly without any issues.

Users after the previous build reported that they were facing issue with some older drivers which caused the updates to not install showing an error message “SECURE_KERNEL_ERROR”. This issue has now been fixed and users will no longer find the update failure and bug checks issue anymore.

The company is also making changes to the Embedded Handwriting Panel were in if users try to install, reset PC or upgrade to the build directly from Fall Creators Update the Handwriting Panel will be turned off by default.

But this setting will be turned on for Insiders who are upgrading from an earlier Preview Build where it was enabled. Users will also be able to turn it on by going to the Pen & Windows Ink Settings.

Microsoft has apart from fixing the known issues from the previous build has confirmed that the new Insider Preview Build comes with a minor known issue were users who have linked their Phone to their PC will find it getting un linked after installing the latest Preview Build. The relink can be done by going to Settings> Phone.

The above is a minor known issue which might not be used by lot of Insiders and hence we can confirm that Microsoft has made sure the latest build does not bring any serious issues as it is in the finalisation stage of Spring Creators Update due for release next month.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build is currently rolling out and you need to go to Update & Security>Windows Update>Check for Updates to download if you are enrolled in Fast Ring.
