Samsung today announced a new range of laptops which will be revealed at CES 2018. The device include Notebook 9 laptops along with Notebook 9 Pen. The new devices are expected to include Intel’s 8th generation U series Core i7 processor.
The new i7 processors are quad core and are expected to bring a significant boost in the performance of the devices. The processor are made of an alloy called Metal12 which is lighter than aluminum.
The Notebook 9 comes with 13.3 and 15 inch display with Nvidia GeForce MX 150 graphics and 6.2mm bezels around 1080p display. The device is expected to weigh at 15.4mm thin. The device comes with a 75Wh Hexacell battery which is expected to be the largest and more powerful battery in a notebook. It is also expected to support fast charging.
On the other hand the Notebook 9 Pen comes with a 360 degree hinge and is called as an S Pen which is smaller and doesn’t require battery since it fits insider the holster in the device. The S Pen launches shortcuts to apps like Samsung Notes and Autodesk Sketchbook when removed.
For security the new devices will be having a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello and the Notebook 9 Pen will include an IR camera for facial recognition. Both devices are expected to be showcased at CES 2018.
The devices are expected to be available this month in Korea and first quarter of 2018 in the United States. The pricing of the device has not yet been confirmed, but we expect the company to detail the pricing of the devices at CES 2018 in Las Vegas, NV
