Earlier we reported that WhatsApp Team has been working on releasing a new Desktop application for Windows 10 PC and Tablets. But the work on the Desktop application was abandoned due to unknown reasons.
But today to our surprise, the WhatsApp Desktop application has received a new update after a very long time. The app has been updated to new version 2.6866. The update comes with some new features for the Application.
The update now added a new “My Status” option similar to the mobile application. Desktop users will also find a new GIF search option to help them search for a relevant GIF to share it with their friends and families.
The WhatsApp team has also made some changes and improvements to the Settings section of the application. The WhatsApp team off late has been very busy working on the WhatsApp application for all platforms.
The Team last week released the “Share Live Location” feature for iOS and Android platforms along with the new “Text Status” feature for Windows Platform. Today the team has enabled the most awaited ” Delete for Everyone” feature for all platforms.
