WhatsApp team has been hard at work in improving the messaging application which is used by over One Billion users around the globe. The team has been regularly updating the app on all platforms with new features.
Earlier in the week the WhatsApp team has added the “Share Live Location” feature for all users on iOS and Android. Today the WhatsApp team releases a new update this time for its Beta Application on Windows Phone.
The app has been updated to new version 2.17.294.0. The latest update to the Beta App brings the most awaited “Text Status” feature for Windows Phone users. The Text Status feature was made available for iOS and Android users for over a month now.
The “Text Status” feature is in addition to the already existing “My Status” feature. Windows Phone users can now post new updates in the “Text format” apart from the regular Video, GIF, Audio format.
The Text Status feature was in internal testing by WhatsApp team for some time and after fixing all bugs the feature is now available for Beta testers before the official roll out to all users publicly. See screenshots below of the latest “Text Status” feature.
