Windows 10, Microsoft’s Latest Operating System is still the number one choice for its users. However the company earlier version Windows 7 is still a huge hit among gamers. The Windows 7 version is growing faster than the company’s latest operating system.

The data from Valve shows that even though Windows 10 has gained an increase in market share lot of Steam users are still using the Windows 7 version to play their favorite games. Windows 10 market share has increased 0.44 percent last month for the 64 bit version to reach 50.03 percent.

The 32 bit version of Windows 10 however has seen a decline of 0.27 percent to 0.63 percent meaning the latest version of Windows 10 has an overall gaining percentage of 50.66 percent.

Inspite of the above number Windows is still the leading desktop operating system for gamers on Steam with 96.30 percentage for the 64 bit version of Windows 10. Microsoft is going to release the latest version of Windows 10, Fall Creators Update on October 17 which includes lot of improvements especially for gamers, hence it remains to be seen if the latest version brings in an increase in market share on Steam.
