Microsoft had introduced their brand new design language for their Windows ecosystem at Build 2017. Microsoft’s Fluent Design system consisted of 5 basic elements around which whole design works they are Depth, Motion, Scale, Material, and Light. Fluent Design can be seen in the First Party Microsoft apps and many other popular apps like mytube etc in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update builds. Today Microsoft is also bringing their Fluent Design to the web. They have today rolled out an update to their Web Framework along with all the Fluent Design components except the Scale component which will be arriving later.
Microsoft has also provided details of the Web Framework on their official website and also shows some beautiful demos of the Fluent Design on web with various components of Fluent Design applied on websites like Microsoft.com , the MS Account dashboard, and the Microsoft Store. Microsoft has made sure in their demos that the design language feels same across web and windows ecosystem. We currently don’t know how much time Microsoft has allocated to complete implementation of Fluent Design.
Here’s another concept showing with Fluent Design on web.
