Microsoft will start working on the next major update for Windows 10 aka Redstone 3 update in the coming weeks. Starting April 11, Windows 10 Creators Update will begin rolling out to PCs and Tablets running on Anniversary Update. The Windows 10 Creators Update is primarily targeted towards the artists and professionals, hence the ‘Creators’ moniker. Adding new Inking capabilities, 3D creation enhancements, PC gaming enhancements and a few additional new features, the update is jam packed with goodies for Windows 10 PC

However, there are no major changes with the Creators Update but Microsoft’s Windows 10 Redstone 3 is going to be a feature-packed update. Windows 10 Redstone 3 will introduce a new design language, Project NEON. Microsoft’s Project NEON will bring a fresh and much needed change to the operating system. Microsoft has already started following the Project NEON design language on Groove Music and Movies & TV app.

Not only apps, but the Start Screen will also get Project NEON touch. Microsoft is finally planning to introduce transparent tiles on the Start Screen. Start Menu will apparently get a blur effect. As noted by MSPU, the Acrylic component of Project NEON will make Start Menu’s background blurred.

The taskbar will also receive improvements in terms of UI. With Project NEON, Microsoft will make the taskbar look darker. Furthermore, it will also reflect the accent color of the apps pinned on the taskbar.

Windows 10 Redstone 3 update will be released this fall. Furthermore, Microsoft has confirmed earlier that the Windows Insiders might start receiving preview builds from Redstone 3 branch before the release of Windows 10 Creators Update.
