Microsoft’s Docs.com service is a place where users can share their stories and creations with family and friends and internet. Docs.com is a part of Microsoft’s Office Suite which is being used by millions of people around the world.

Just recently users around the world started complaining of discovering sensitive documents which are not supposed to be made public. With the search feature,  users can be able to search any file which has been shared. This would mean that users were able to find some personal documents and sensitive information which supposedly was not to be made public.

The search feature resulted in personal documents of people like divorce agreements, loan applications etc which are supposed to be shared privately. Some of the documents shared on Docs.com even included Social Security number for some users in the United States.

After finding such sensitive information with the search feature, users started complaining about the same and Microsoft acted quickly by removing the search feature. The issue has not yet been solved and still some users are able to search for sensitive information.

Well as far as the service is concerned, Docs.com was made for users to share stories created by Office Suite publicly but not sensitive information. Lot of users were caught off guard when they found their private information being available publicly.
