Alexa on Windows 10

A while ago, Microsoft and Amazon announced their partnership to bring Cortana and Alexa closer on their respective platforms. After almost one year, Amazon Alexa is now available on Windows 10 devices and both digital assistant can now talk to each other.

You will be able to tell the Amazon Echo, ”Alexa, open Cortana”. Similarly, you can ask Cortana to open Alexa on Windows 10 devices.

“Alexa customers will be able to access Cortana’s unique features like booking a meeting or accessing work calendars, reminding you to pick up flowers on your way home, or reading your work email – all using just your voice. Similarly, Cortana customers can ask Alexa to control their smart home devices, shop on Amazon.com, interact with many of the more than 20,000 skills built by third-party developers, and much more,” Microsoft said.

It seems MSFT and AMAZON are willing to collaborate with whom ever for all kinds of good users experience with no device platform’s bias, I can not entirely say the same thing for Google and or Apple.
