Last month, Microsoft Edge officially became available on Android and iPhone. Not so long ago, we learned that Microsoft Edge on Android has been installed over 500,000 time and today we have discovered that the browser has reached more than 1 million downloads milestone, via the listing on Android’s Google Play Store.
Microsoft recently posted new promotional videos and revealed that the Edge browser is available for download on the Google Play Store. The video also confirmed that Edge has been downloaded by “hundreds of thousands”.
Microsoft is also planning to enable more regions support in Edge browser. Microsoft Edge for Android is currently available in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, India, and the UK.
“We are committed to empowering people and organizations to achieve more. And Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android is another step in that journey. While we’re excited to remove the preview label along with the download restrictions, we are more excited about all that’s ahead. We have a long list of new features to build and improvements to make,” Joe Belfiore said in a blog post.
Microsoft Edge for Android creates one continuous browsing experience for Windows 10 users across their devices. The browser shares data and content seamlessly in the background.
