Microsoft had released a new Windows 10 PC update on October 10th this week. The new update released added a new Windows 10 Photos app add-on which was reported by some Windows 10 users.

The app is now Listed under Apps and Features with 141MB which is shown as an add on to the main Microsoft Photos app. The Windows 10 users were very unhappy with the application which was automatically downloaded on the PCs.

Users in Comments reported that the app was delivered via an update in the Windows Store as October 1, 2017. The App received a lot of negative reviews and comments from users showing the users anger as the app was downloaded without permission.

Currently we don’t know as to what the app actually does but what we know is that the app is compatible with users on Windows 10 Anniversary Update version 14393 or later. The app is nothing but just a Windows 10 Built in Photos App.

The app is expected to be part of an architectural change which allows the company to provide new content updates and functionality to the Microsoft Photos app. The user with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update are now seeing pop ups while trying to open the Photos App.

Microsoft has not yet responded to the user complaints and we are awaiting response from the company. We will update the article once we have any more info on the Mysterious Photos Add On app.
