Another week, another new Insider build. As Creators Update launch gets nearer, Microsoft is on a build publishing roll recently. Today, build 15058 got released for fast ring insiders on PC. Unfortunately for Mobile users, the build is not available, but we can expect a new build for Mobile this week. As with the latest builds, there are no new features but more bug fixes.
Creators Update is already feature complete, and there will be no more new additions before the launch. Microsoft is busy polishing the OS to get it ready for users, and making improvements wherever possible. This build contains some good fixes too. The store app bug which prevented apps from launching and getting updated has been fixed. UWP app and Edge performance have been improved, video playback quality for PCs connecting with Miracast has been improved and there are numerous other fixes.
Like all Insider builds, specially the fast ring ones, this build too contains some bugs. A rare few may get an annoying SYSTEM_PTE_MISUSE error and installation will fail. Also to be noted is that Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3 users will have to remove the SD cards to install this build. Users may have to restart their devices if there’s a pending update F12 dev tools on Edge has certain problems. Luckily, none of them are show-stopping or breaking bugs and the build should satisfy most users. If you have a problem, you can take it to the Microsoft forums and submit a report via the Feedback Hub app.
