Despite Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile being all-but discontinued, a new version of mobile platform has been mentioned in Bluetooth SIG. The Bluetooth SIG page suggests that there’s a Windows 10 Mobile version 1809 (October Update) which does not exist and Microsoft has never talked about.

While Windows 10 Mobile version 1809 is indeed mentioned on Bluetooth SIG website, it is highly likely that the mention of new Windows 10 Mobile version is merely a mistake on an employee’s part or a miscommunication between Microsoft and the Bluetooth organization.

Microsoft has already confirmed that it has no any plans to release any further feature updates to its mobile operating system and the so-called version 1809 of Windows 10 Mobile doesn’t exist, at least for the public.

The public launch of Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for desktop is projected to begin next month and it’s not coming to Windows phones.
