WhatsApp is the only application currently which has been supporting the Windows Phone platform strongly when big players have decided to leave the platform to concentrate on iOS and Android.
The WhatsApp team has been slowly releasing new features to its Windows Phone application which are already available for users on iPhone and Android devices. To continue their support for Windows platform, the developers today have released a new update for its WhatsApp Beta application on Windows Phone.
The latest update bumps the application to new version 2.18.60. The latest beta update comes with new emojis which were already available for users on iOS and Android. The new emojis released are similar to the emojis available for iOS and Android users.
The new emojis were in internal testing by the team and has now finally made it to the Beta application on Windows Phone. With the latest emojis, Windows Phone users will be able to correctly view the emojis sent by their friends and family on other platforms.

Earlier the Windows Phone users were not able to view the particular emoji sent from an iPhone or Android device, which meant they were unable to react according to the emoji since the Windows Phone users were not able to see the emoji sent instead it appeared as a blank rectangular box on Windows Phone.
This has now been changed and Windows Phone users will be clearly able to see the particular emoji received in the conversation and react according to the emoji. Another new feature which has been added is the “Live Location Sharing” option. This option is however currently disabled by default but its availability on the Beta application confirms that the feature is not too far from appearing on the Windows Phone application.
There are also the usual bug fixes and performance improvements released as part of the latest Beta update for WhatsApp Windows application. You can get the latest update, if you haven’t downloaded yet by going to the Microsoft Store link below.
