Windows 10 Build 17101 is available for download for the Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring with a number of improvements, changes, and bug fixes. Windows 10 build 17101 is another update from the Redstone 4 branch and it comes with refined emoji, which are based on feedback received from insiders.

Neither Windows 10 Build 17604 nor the Build 17101 bring any major changes to Windows 10, the company is, however, adding some improvements, for example, emoji search feature is now available in more countries including Great Britain, Germany, Spain, and others.

“Right now our focus is on stabilization for RS4. As part of the stabilization process, we have “forked” RS4 into its own branch called “RS4_RELEASE” just like we did with RS2 and RS3. Going forward – RS4 builds will come from the RS4_RELEASE branch. This also means that we intend to release new RS4 builds to Insiders more quickly to both the Fast and Slow rings as these builds we include mostly bug fixes,” Microsoft said.

Microsoft is also improving Windows app permissions with the ability to block access apps access to the system files on Windows 10. Microsoft says the option has been added to Settings > Privacy > File System Access.

Windows 10 Redstone 4 is projected to be finalized for Windows Insiders as soon as next month and it will be publicly referred to Spring Creators Update. The public release of Windows 10 Redstone 4 will take place in April, as it happened with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
