Microsoft today is pushing out a new update for its OneDrive app for iOS devices. The update has bumped the app to new version 10.1. The latest OneDrive update is a major one which brings lots of new features along with fixes for some known issues.

Microsoft has made changes to the UI of OneDrive for iOS users by using space more efficiently which makes it easier to scan file names and quickly notice essential information. A new context menu has been added to each item letting users to do what they would like with the file and its extension. You would need to tap the “…” ellipses to check out the new option.

A new look has been brought in for the files and folders in the list and tile view which lets users to easily find what they are looking for and making it easier to spot shared files as the thumbnails size is now larger in size.

The multi column list view on iPad had some issues with users reporting that it is difficult to read file names, having listened to the feedback Microsoft has now expanded each file to take the entire row and also added columns for the data.

A new shared icon will be displayed in the navigation bar for letting users to be sure that a file has been uploaded to a folder. The command icons have now been made larger in size making it easier to use them. This was a most requested feature by users since lot of them accidentally taped the wrong command due to the size of the icons being small.

A new files app support has been added in the latest update letting users to open any file or folder irrespective of it being in OneDrive or SharePoint. You also have the option to update them and save them to OneDrive.

Its now easier to move a file into a folder or copying a file into a SharePoint Site. You would now be able to just Drag and Drop a file as Microsoft has added the new Drag and Drop support in the latest OneDrive update.

Also its now possible to drag and drop files between tabs in the app on iPhone and iPad with iPad now also supporting drag and drop to other apps. Microsoft has also added previews for over 130 file types which include Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, RAW, 3D objects and tons of other code formats to be added in upcoming updates.

Microsoft Flow Integration is also now possible with the latest update which lets you create automated workflows between OneDrive and other services by getting notifications, collect data and more. The Microsoft Flow integration is only allowed for school and work related accounts only.

There are also some more new features added in the latest OneDrive update. Below is the full list:
