Files Restore, as we reported, is a great recovery tool that would be making its way to OneDrive soon allowing users to restore the files at any point and it can even help you to restore any data that you lost accidentally.

Starting today, this feature will be rolling out for OneDrive for Business users. Microsoft also revealed how to use this feature in a blog post.

To use this feature, users will have to go to the OndeDrive settings page. Under that go to Files Restore. In that page, you will get an option to select a date to restore the files from. Selecting ‘Custom Date and Time’ will give a detailed history of all activities with a slider.

The history will help you to know who deleted, uploaded, renamed or edited any file and user can track any suspicious activity. Once the files are selected, hit the restore button and your file will be restored from OneDrive.

As reported earlier, users can only restore their files for up to 30 days. Also, this feature, for now, is only available for OneDrive for Business users. Let’s hope that in future the OneDrive users without business plan can also enable the new feature.
