Microsoft has been working very hard in improving the performance of its apps for iOS and Android. The Redmond Giant today has released a new update for its Digital Assistant Cortana for iOS users. The latest update does not come with any new features, but the company claims to have improved the performance of the digital assistant on iOS devices.

The latest update version 2.6.7 is currently live in the App Store and the company confirms that the Digital Assistant will now launch 20% faster than earlier. This improvement has been made at the startup and speed increase by 20% would definitely let users use the app very fast.

Off late Microsoft’s Digital Assistant has been facing competition from Alexa and Google Assistant and with the latest update to improve the performance of the application, Microsoft is definitely trying to garner more users to download the Digital Assistant on their iOS devices.

Apart from increasing the startup time the latest Cortana update for iOS devices also comes with its share of bug fixes. The Redmond Giant is currently busy working on integrating Alexa with Cortana and it is just a matter of time when the Digital Assistant will make its way out with Alexa integration.
