Microsoft today released a new Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17074 for PC users on Fast and Skip Ahead Ring. The latest Insider Preview Build comes with lots of new features along with its share of Known issues and improvements.

The previous Insider Build introduced many new features like Timeline, Sets (To select users) and much more. Today the company has introduced a long list of new features especially for its default web browser Microsoft Edge along with improvements to Settings, Camera App, Quiet Hours and more.

The Default Web browser for Windows 10 Microsoft Edge has received lots of new improvements in the latest Windows 10 Preview Build 17074. Below is the list of improvements for the Edge Browser.

Hub improvements: A new and revamped Hub view is now part of the latest build which shows more content and is easier to use. The different Hub sections are now visible with their full name in the Navigation view to the left of the content. Users now also have the option to save space by minimizing the view.

 

Autofill cards on web forms:  With the new Autofill cards on web forms, the web browser now automatically saves and fills the card information on payment web forms. Users will be prompted to save the card information for future use and you will no longer be required to fill all the details again.  Card information like CVV is never saved making it a secure option.

 

New reading experience for EPUB, PDF, and Reading View: The company has completely changed the look and feel of the reading experience by bringing in more consistent and powerful experience across all the documents like PDF’s etc.

 

Grammar Tools for EPUB books:  Users will now be able to use new Grammar Tools button to enable new comprehensions. Grammar Tools highlight different parts of speech like nouns, verbs and adjectives. 

 

New Full-screen reading experience:  A distraction free reading is now possible with the new Full screen reading option making it easier for users to view the pages from PDF’s, Books and more in a full screen mode.

 

General Improvements: Microsoft has fixed the layout of EPUB Books which now helps the content to be arranged more predictably on the page. Assistive technology has also received improvements to help users to view PDF or Books with a screen reader.

Improved Library experience: With Improvements to the Library, users will now be able to see recommendations for new books. A new Book icon and title is shown while reading a book instead of the earlier URI for a clear view.

Favorites bar improvements: The Favorites Bar has received many improvements in the latest build which now automatically shows Start and New Tab pages. You will also be able to have the Favorites Bar always visible by going to settings and clicking on “Show the favorites” bar option.

Option to never save passwords for domains: Microsoft based on the user feedback has introduced a new never save passwords option for certain sites. When a user chooses to never save password option, when prompted, for a particular site, the pop up notification to save passwords will never be prompted the next time you visit the site again.

Autofill passwords when InPrivate: With the latest Insider build, Microsoft Edge now supports auto-filling of saved passwords when browsing InPrivate. You will be able to view the list of credentials by clicking on the username field which provides you with all the saved credentials for the website.
