Microsoft’s messaging app GroupMe has already been available for users on Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 Mobile, Hololens along with iOS and Android for sometime now. The Redmond Giant has now made the messaging app available for Xbox One users starting today.
The GroupMe app is available with all the chat features which are available on other platforms which include creating groups, sharing images, mentions and more.
To have a great experience on Xbox One, it would be a better idea to use the Xbox chat pad instead of the regular on screen keyboard. Users to start chatting can simply add anyone to a group using their phone number or email address and start chatting.
You will also be able to view your groups in the People App and reply to the messages faster via the interactive notifications. Sharing photos and links is also possible from other apps with your group contacts.
Users also have the option to find messages by @Mentions making it easy to find relevant messages. Muting a chat or snoozing is also one of the feature which is available in the GroupMe app on Xbox One.
The GroupMe app for Xbox One console users is available in the Microsoft Store on Xbox one and can be downloaded by clicking this link. Do let us know your first impressions of using the app on your Xbox One consoles.
