Microsoft is updating OneDrive app for Android on the Google Play Store with improvements and bug fixes. The last update for OneDrive revamped the interface and added new features, the latest version 5.2, on the other hand, introduces full support for Android Oreo Notification system.

After installing the latest update, users can “take full control over notifications” in Android smartphones. “Full support for Android Notification Channels to help you take control over your notifications,” the changelog reads. Microsoft hasn’t added any other features to OneDrive applications. With the previous update, Microsoft revamped OneDrive with new tab bar navigation that gives access to shared files and recent items.

Microsoft rolled out version 5.1 earlier this month, the update introduced a new look and feel. Microsoft is internally testing a new version of OneDrive for Android, and the beta update is now expected to arrive in early January.

As Microsoft has killed Windows Phone platform, the company’s focus is now on Android and iPhone. Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Launcher are already a hit on the Google Play Store, on the other hand, OneDrive is one of Microsoft’s most successful apps on the platform.

OneDrive for Android is a feature-rich application, it lets you open and save OneDrive files in Office apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. You can also find photos, get notifications, and access your most important files offline.
