While the executives have remained tight-lipped on the release date for the new feature, Microsoft Poland has confirmed that keyboard and mouse is definitely coming to Xbox One. Earlier this year, the head of Xbox Phil Spencer confirmed in a tweet that it is one of the highly-requested features the Microsoft is currently exploring.

Back in September, the corporate VP of Xbox gaming Mike Ybarra also confirmed that Xbox One consoles will soon support Mouse and Keyboard and yesterday Microsoft Poland accidentally leaked the company’s plans. Microsoft Poland, however, hasn’t provided a release date for this new functionality, although it will be to be added to the existing consoles early next year.

“Some players prefer to conquer the virtual world with a pad in hand. Others, above all, value the precision of the mouse movements. Others, however, can not imagine playing on anything other than a keyboard. Now, owners of Xbox One consoles (including Xbox One S models and the latest Xbox One X) can choose these accessories and decide for themselves what they will use. “PC Master Race”? Thanks to the keyboard support, we can already successfully talk about “Xbox Master Race”!”, Microsoft said in a blog post (now deleted).

If Microsoft Poland blog post wasn’t a mistake, it seems keyboard and Mouse support is coming sooner than anyone thought, though it’s best to take it with a fine grain of salt.
