The software giant is today rolling out a major update to Microsoft Launcher for Android with new features and more, but only for the beta testers. Microsoft Launcher (Beta) for Android comes with several new features and the new version of the application is 4.4

Beta testers of Microsoft Launcher for Android can now test a new feature that would allow you to hide the dock from your home screen, select multiple items and more.

After updating to the latest version of Microsoft Launcher, you can now create folders in the app drawer, Microsoft says that this was a highly-requested addition. Another new feature is the “ability select multiple items at the same time, across the different page, move, remove, drag&drop or even creating new folders in home screen or app drawer though long press menu”.

  • Open app animation;
  • Pill count improvements on Line, BBM, Instagram, Yammer, Textra, WhatsApp and more – this is one of the highest bug reporting in our weekly user feedback report, so we spend a whole release to make it better, it’s still not perfect so please keep the feedback coming in around this.
  • Bug fixing and perf tuning.

Microsoft has also added new animations to improve the performance of the Launcher and the software giant has finally fixed the Weather/Time widget. Apart from the above-mentioned changes, Microsoft has also tuned the performance. If you would like to test the beta features, you can download the app from the Google Play Store.
