Telegram team today pushed out a new update for its Desktop application for Windows devices. The update has bumped the app to new version 1.2.0. The update is a major update with lots of new features along with the usual bug fixes and improvements to the application.

The latest update brings improvements to the navigation by adding a new side panel on the right providing quick access to shared media and group members. Users will now be able to save their sent messages by moving them to the new “Saved Messages” folder. The saved messages can be viewed from the chat list or from the side menu.

Group members will now be able to recognize messages sent in a group by the Group Admin which will now have a new “Administrator badge” for all the messages. This makes it easy for group members to identify and read all messages sent by the admin especially in a large group.

Group Members of a super group will now be able to delete the chat history completely without having to worry about the space taken by the messages on their PCs. This delete chat history option allows users to save lots of space taken by the data in the app on the PCs.

The Telegram team is constantly working on adding new features for its app on all devices and platforms. The latest Desktop app update is currently live and can be downloaded by clicking the below Store link.
