Microsoft today announced that it will be rolling out the much awaited Timeline feature in the upcoming insider build for Fast Ring Insiders. Along with it the company also confirmed that it will be rolling out a new “Sets” features to Windows Insiders in the coming days or weeks.

The “Sets” feature brings a one time solution like tabs to the company’s Universal Apps. More info about the Sets feature please refer our earlier article. However the company says that not all new features which will be released in the preview builds will be available for Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring.

For Example: The new “Sets ” feature when released might not be available for all Fast Ring Insiders instead the company plans to do some A/B testing before making it available for all users.

Windows Insider Chief Dona Sarkar confirmed that only a smaller percentage of Windows Insiders will initially be able to test the new features and based on the feedback will be made available broadly to all users. She also said that the “Sets” feature when released might end up having a new name and could well not be a part of the company’s next major release Redstone 4 next year but will be released once the development of the feature is deemed to be complete.
