Indian Prime Minister has been promoting the usage of Digital Services after Demonetization. To promote the Digital India program, a new e-governance app UMANG has been launched by the Prime Minister last week.

The E-governance app is available for download on Windows 10 Mobile along with iOS and Android. The app provides users with access to all government services like scholarships, women’s safety, health care applications, Passport seva and more under one window.

The app is available in 10 Indian languages apart from Hindi and English and offers users with customer support which is available on all days including Sundays and Holidays between 8am to 8pm.

UMANG app is a Unified Platform which brings all government departments and services on a single platform providing better and easy access to services for Indian Citizens. All Government Services are available under the Mobile First Strategy scheme in the UMANG App.

The app also is integrated with Digital India Services like Aadhar, DigiLocker and PayGov to provide seamless integration for the services. Any other new service which will be added in future will be integrated automatically with the platform.

The Aadhaar profile details of the users will be saved in an encrypted format and no other person other than the user can view the information since the app supports authentication mechanisms for service access.

The app is available for download in the Microsoft Store and any interested users can get it alternatively by clicking this Store link. Do let us know your first impressions of the application in the comments below.
