Only last week, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella told two journalists with iPads to “get a real computer.” Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella recently took a trip to India and at the India Today Next Conclave event, he passed a couple of journalists using iPads and suggested them to ‘get a real computer’.

Apple has now published a new advertisement titled “What’s a computer” and in the video, the company insists that the iPad Pro is actually the modern definition of a computer. The video shows a fangirl, using iPad for literally everything.

She uses it to complete her homework in Microsoft Word, and also doodles on an image clicked with iPad’s camera. She even reads Wonder Woman comic book on her iPad Pro, while traveling. Her next-door neighbor sees her using the iPad, she asks the girl “What are you doing on your computer?” and the girl answers — “What’s a computer?”.

“With iPad Pro + iOS 11, a post-PC world may be closer than you think,” says Apple on YouTube. While Apple claims iPad could replace your laptop, the truth is that it will never replace the versatility of a real desktop experience as the iPad runs an OS designed for mobile.

“I don’t want to take away from whatever success Apple or Google are having. We are very different companies. We are not some middleman in the marketplace. We are a tool creator, we are not a luxury good manufacturer. That’s not who we are. We are about creating technologies so that others can build,” Nadella said at the India Today Next Conclave event.
