Microsoft pushed out a new update for its Skype app for Windows 10 Mobile and PC for Fast Ring Insiders. The update comes with some new features for the Windows 10 application. The update is currently available only for Fast Ring Insiders on Windows 10.
The update pushes the app to new version 12.9.565.0. The update comes with new features which are already available for the Skype app on iOS and Android. Skype users will now be able to receive notifications in the notifications panel which help users to see the reactions to the messages.
You can now chat with any users irrespective of them being added to your contacts list. This option is same as users chatting on other messaging application. You need to just search for the contact on Skype and start a one to one or group chat.
Another important feature added by the Skype team is the option to share emoticons, reactions, text or photos relevant to your mood during a Skype call. Windows Mixed Reality feature has also been added in the latest update to help users share their businesses with other users during a Skype Video chat.
The company rolled out the new Skype app for iOS and Android some time back but the Windows 10 users are still awaiting the new app on Windows platform. However the company is slowly adding features in the new Skype app on Widows 10 Mobile and PC.
The latest Skype update is available for download and you can get it by clicking the below Store link. As confirmed above this update is only available for Insiders in the Fast Ring.
