Samsung recently announced its first Windows Mixed Reality headset, the HMD Odyssey. The Windows Mixed Reality headsets are available from HP, Dell, Lenovo and Acer while the Samsung HMD Odyssey isn’t available just yet. The $499 Samsung HMD Odyssey is worth the wait as it has a premium look and AMOLED display with 2880 x 1600 resolution.

Although, the Samsung HMD Odyssey Windows Mixed Reality headset can be pre-ordered on the Microsoft Store only in the US. If you are in the Europe, you should not wait for the headset as it won’t be sold in the European countries. Samsung’s spokesperson confirmed that the Windows Mixed Reality headset is exclusive to the customers in the US.

Samsung hasn’t explained as to why the headset won’t be sold in the Europe. On the other hand, the Samsung’s headset is available for pre-order in the US with the shipping date of November 6. The company may be planning to sell the headset in the Europe after observing the performance of the HMD Odyssey in the US. However, you should not keep high hopes.

If you’d like to try the Windows Mixed Reality headsets in Europe, you should pick one from HP, Dell, Acer or Lenovo. However, it may not as good as the Samsung’s headset but it still does a pretty great job. The Samsung Mixed Reality headset features an AMOLED display and other feature includes dual array mics and built-in headphones.

Samsung, the masters of making their (ex) customers angry. From PR point of view, showing this headset everywhere across the Internet, including Windows Mixed Reality official presentation and then telling all their customers from Europe to f*** off is idiotic beyond comprehension. What a stupid company, what a stupid management of company.
