Microsoft is today updating Skype on the Windows Store for Windows 10 Mobile and PC with some major changes. Last month Microsoft released the same updated Skype app to Windows Insiders on the Release Preview Ring and today the update is now available for non-Insiders (general public).

As we noted above, the update is available for both Windows 10 Mobile and PC, all the changes should appear across all Windows 10 devices as it is a UWP app. Microsoft has finally added new reactions such as outside seating and middle finger.

Another new change is the ability to delete a conversation on Skype, earlier we were only able to hide Skype conversations. Microsoft has now removed the hide conversations option in favour of delete option. The top menu now also lets you know whether or not your friends are online.

Skype has once again got a new welcome screen. Microsoft has also removed the ability to add groups to your favourites. The other changes include bug fixes and performance improvements.

In other news, Microsoft is integrating Cortana to Skype on iOS and Android whereas the company hasn’t revealed when Cortana in Skype will be available on Windows 10 devices. On Android and iOS, Cortana is being added to your Skype as a contact and you can ask it things like current weather, restaurant idea, flight status, facts and the list goes on.
