Facebook today released a new update for its Messenger app for Windows 10 Mobile. The update is a minor one and it adds a small new feature for Messenger users. The latest feature is mainly applicable for users who have lot of groups and chat with friends in a group.
The Facebook team has now added a new feature “Mentions” to the Messenger application for users in Groups. Users will now be able to mention others in the group irrespective of the group member has muted the group notification.
The members will be notified via a group notification that he has been mentioned in a group conversation. This is a very minor feature but is definitely a welcome feature. The users would not be seeing any update in the store as the Facebook team has added the feature via a Server Side update.
It is good to see Facebook still working on bringing new features to the Windows 10 Mobile application, but is still far away to be called on par with the Messenger application both on iOS and Android.
