Microsoft’s personal digital assistant ‘Cortana’ is now getting a new update on the Google PlayStore for Android devices. The update is being rolled out to the beta testers and it bumps the app version to 2.9.5. Microsoft hasn’t added any new features to the Cortana app but it brings some improvements.

Microsoft now lets you open the Outlook Calendar to get the suggested reminders. With today’s update, the company has also improved Cortana’s smart suggestions, widgets and the history view.

Apart from the above changes, Microsoft has introduced performance improvements and fixed some unmentioned bug with the latest update.

Unlike today’s release, the last update for Cortana had added a lot of new features. Microsoft recently added a ‘Chit-chat’ feature that lets you interact with Cortana with one tap. After testing the new updates with the beta users, Microsoft will push the new Cortana to the general public in the coming days or weeks.
