Windows 10 Fall Creators Update Release Date

Microsoft is today releasing a new Windows 10 Insider PC Build with version 16296 for Fast Ring Insiders. This build is available for users on Fast Ring but not for Skip Ahead Insiders. Microsoft is preparing to release Windows 10 Fall Creators Update next month and is currently focused on fixing bugs for the OS before the public roll out.

The Latest Insider Build does not come with any new features but is released with bug fixes and improvements to the performance of the OS. The company has already released two new builds in the last week for Fast Ring insiders.

With the latest Fast Ring Build the Redmond Giant has fixed some of the issues caused in the previous builds. Below is the list of fixes in the latest Build for Windows 10.

  • We fixed an issue where Hyper-V couldn’t create a VM on 3rd party network storage.
  • We fixed an issue where for the first few minutes after clean installing a non-English build many inbox app names might unexpectedly appear with English app names.
  • We fixed an issue where gaming apps using WebView with heavy use of HTML canvas might have unexpectedly had very low FPS in recent flights.

The build is currently live and can be downloaded by going to Settings>Windows Update>Check for Updates.

Note: As confirmed above this build is only available for Fast Ring Insiders but only for users who have not enabled Skip Ahead option.
