Facebook-owned Instagram is still supporting Microsoft’s mobile platform (Windows 10 Mobile) but it appears they want you to upgrade the phone. The social media giant recently updated the InstagramĀ app for Windows 10 Mobile and other devices with a lot of new features.

Instagram wants you to use a flagship Windows 10 Mobile device to get the best experience of the social media platform. Instagram has upgraded the minimum hardware requirement to 2GB of RAM. Although you can still install the app on low-end Windows Phones. As usual, the performance wouldn’t be as good as it should be and it appears that Instagram doesn’t want you to complain about it anymore.

Facebook and Messenger also recommends 2GB of RAM in Windows Phones to get the best experience. At the moment, Facebook is letting you install the apps but it may change in future.

The last update for Instagram added some new features and improvements. The firm added the ability to add effects in Stories and also added Stories title to the top on the left. Apart from these changes, they have also introduced a new + icon to upload images and videos to the social network.
