The subsidiary of Indian Railways, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC)’s app has been removed from the Windows Store. The app was available for both Windows Phone and PC, however, it has been pulled without any statement from the Railways.
IRCTC had two apps for Windows PCs, Phones and both of them have been pulled from the Windows Store. The apps couldn’t be searched on the Windows Store, you can still view the app listing page but the download/install button is missing.
IRCTC’s App had provided the ability to book the Railway tickets online and services like checking reservation status, train schedules, train routes, availability of tickets, cancellation, booking history, recent history, favourites, add passengers as contacts and roaming the transactions between multiple devices were also available.
You can still use the IRCTC’s official website. However, the site isn’t designed for the mobile browser so it would be difficult for anyone to book Indian Railways tickets from their Windows Phones.
