WhatsApp has no plan to drop support for Windows Phone platform. The company is updating the messaging app quite often. However, they have no plans to launch the new Windows 10 version of WhatsApp.

The Facebook-owned WhatsApp is now once again working on Windows Phone. Earlier this week, the users reported that WhatsApp has stopped working on old Windows Phone 8.0 or 8.1 such as Lumia 930. WhatsApp was showing an error where the app was asking the users to install the latest update while the messaging app was up-to-date.

Today, WhatsApp has released an update to its Windows Phone app and now the app is working once again. The update has no major chaanges or improvement. We assume it brings performance improvements and bug fixes.

Facebook is also working on WhatsApp for Business service. The company has already updated the WhatsApp beta with business service related changes. The feature helps enterprises to connect and communicate easily with its customers.
