According to recent stats from Alexa, DuckDuckGo has doubled its popularity in the last year and is currently ranked 400th most popular website. The search engine is more popular than other privacy oriented search engines like Ixquick or Searx.
DuckDuckGo has surpassed 18 million direct search per day towards the end of the month but the figures are still pale in comparison to Google which has handled two trillion searches per year.
DuckDuckGo was ranked 255th in US, 186th in France and is now the most popular search engine along with Ixquick or Searx. The search engine appeals to the power users with advance feature which allow you to search websites directly.
