Microsoft recently announced that Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is coming on October 17. The update will bring a lot of new features and improvements. One of the feature for creators in this update is the new Story Remix feature. Just a few days ago, Microsoft renamed Photos app to Story Remix but it was later rolled back. It seems Microsoft is going to bring all Story Remix features to the Photos app with an Adds-on and it is already available on the Windows Store.

Story Remix is a new feature that uses Microsoft Graph to create small video clips called stories by combining your photos and videos. Furthermore, you can also put the 3D objects and use Windows Ink to scribble on the photos.

Microsoft’s AI powers the feature and it selects, trims and creates the video on its own. It could be called the successor of Windows Movie Maker. However, it is far away from being perfect. The best part of the Story Remix is the ability to add the 3D objects.

Today, an Italian website leaked some screenshots of the Microsoft Photos app for Windows 10. The app has got other features of Story Remix. The upcoming update will finally bring special effects such as gunshots.

Microsoft is still working on Story Remix, as the app is in the initial stage of the development, it lacks many key features. Do you use Story Remix on your Windows 10 device?
