Fitbit app for Windows 10 Mobile has been updated with improvements. Fitbit has been supporting Microsoft’s mobile platform for a while now. Recently the company promised to bring Ionic smartwatch support for Windows Phone platform. Today, Fitbit updated its Windows 10 app to add support for the Ionic smartwatch.

It is a server side update and also enables OAuth2.0 support. However, if you still have a Windows Phone 8.1 device, you may not be able to use the Ionic smartwatch as last year Fitbit ended support for the OS.

Recently, Fitbit development program manager thanked Windows 10 Mobile users for buying their new products. He also noted that as long as Windows 10 Mobile users continue to use Fitbit products, they will continue to invest in Microsoft’s Windows platform.

“I want to confirm that Fitbit Ionic, Flyer and Aria 2, are all 100% supported through our Windows 10 UWP and that includes Mobile & Desktop. If you are using Windows 10 Mobile, you will have the same functionality as on iOS and Android,” Fitbit’s Tristan Rice said.
